So when I ask if there is god? 99.99% time the answer is going to be yes. If I ask who is he or she than answer would be ram, Allah, Jesus, Mahavir and list goes on. If you ask me, for me there is only one god and he is god of cricket Sachin…..Jokes apart, while there are 100s and 1000s of god are we really their followers. Do we really believe in them? And if we do, does he want what we do?
Let’s talk about the person next door or may be someone from your home. He or she is the most religious person, Goes to temple every day, takes breakfast only after his morning prayer. So is he the kind of guy so called god wants him to be? As per our society YES! For all of us, person who is religious is god’s child. But have you ever notice how he behave with the other human. He will be the one who is jealous; he is the one who can’t think well about other person, behaving in worst way with someone who is not of his stature. So does god love him? If you ask me never. Just a week back a girl died in Mumbai. FIR says she was hit by a speeding vehicle and as nobody took her to hospital for next 20mins she lost her life. So was it an accident? Nope it was murder by those people who passed by her, many of them who do Tuesday fast, Keep Roza, does 8 days fast in Paryushan. They all killed her and mind this that no amount of prayer can make this good.
I wonder if god is selfish? is he someone who wants attention? is he someone who wants to dominate others? is he someone who is obsessed with himself that he wants other to pray in front of him? If yes than God Must be crazy! If this is not true than how come you get “Punya” or good karma by just praying. Is he going to be like “Yes you prayed me now you deserve this much of karma”? I am sure it doesn’t work that way. If you really want to worship any religion than go and worship “Humanity”. It’s time we stop symbolising our love for god. Walking all the way to siddhivinayak on every Tuesday is not going to please god more than if you just give a small ride to an old man to his place of destination. Even you see which makes you more satisfying and happy. People donate gold to sai baba, rather than donate it to one family who needs for marriage and see which is more pleasing. We donate food and fruits to god but give it to one person who is hungry and see yourself which makes your heart calmer.
I have heard many people worshiping god and in return they just want easy death. But than in reality, there are many such people who suffer the worst. So imagine what they did wrong and what exactly the all mighty wants. We always have tendency of doing exactly opposite of what someone fought for his entire life. For eg. Sai Baba lived his entire life as a poor and never wanted money or anything. And now he is considered to be richest god in India. Similarly Gandhiji was the one who was against the rich vs poor bridge in society but by putting his picture on our currency note we have made him the biggest symbolism to identify rich and poor. What an Irony!!
No we are not dumb to understand that what we are doing is worthless. But we are doing it because someone told us to do it or because the other person (here GOD) can’t argue if it’s correct or not. And while I end this I remember a dialogue from Salman movie “don’t say thank you just help 3 more people and tell them to help 3 others” Just think if this really works, we don’t need to ask god to take us to heaven, it would be right here on EARTH
