Men – The abused gender

This is not an open letter as now a days people tend to write nor this is being written by someone who has gone through some bad incident but A blog being written to let people know that in the light of women empowerment we are abusing men to the extent that they feel shame of being one. Yes, we need to change gender biased towards women in India and we have worked a lot in last couple of years. But as we Indian are known to go overboard on issues, we have done the same in this case as well. We have somewhere shown to world that how ridicule Indian thinking is!! But is that really true?? Are all men same? Is crime against women only in India? Not at all. Just few week before a video of burkha datt was viral where she explains that there are more violence against women across US UK than in India. But i never saw anyone raising fingers on foreign men.

No I am not saying that don’t raise voice against such thinking but than you need not generalize it. Let’s see few facts. Indian opposition party is being headed by a women so was our PM for 10 years😜 We had women PM 4 decades back while US still does not have a single women president, Indian Lok Sabha speaker is women since two terms, we had women president couple of years back. largest private sector bank is being headed by a women (Mrs Chanda Kochhar) and sports personality like Sania Mirza or saina nehwal  list just goes on and on. Nobody has done any “ehsaan” on them. They deserved it and they reached there, they took the efforts, fought for it and got what they wanted. So stop saying that men doesn’t allow women to come up. Who are men to allow or not allow anyone? Let’s be honest, if you want to compete with some one you don’t ask for their approval.

Few months back there was this video of two girl allegedly molested by guys in bus. And our so called media including social media went on to praise the girls on how they fought using words like, ‘brave indian daughter’, ‘We are with you’ and what not. But than truth revealed that those men were innocent, they were just trapped to get cheap publicity. What came next was worst. Not a single media nor social media came with an apology. I mean these people who claim to be everything about women empowerment should have their head down in shame.  Another part comes is guy checking out a girl, staring is not what I mean. I mean a look to  some beautiful women is so obvious and Indian women are pretty so its not our fault. And tell me one women who never checked out a guy? It is both side and not only men. Don’t make it a men being despo and stuffs. Now a days many are scared that even in the crowded metro or local if by mistake guy touches a women she will make issue out of it or she will feel this guys is molester. In one of the interrogation on times now by Arnab, one of the panelist mentioned about a birth mark of Sonia Gandhi. No he did not mention where she has, but just that she has it. Suddenly congress panelist turned it on saying how can you talk derogatory about women. When did mentioning a birth mark became anti-women statement. I understand that we don’t take our politician seriously but that’s how we have made it…anything comes just turn it to women bashing.

Don’t want to write much on this otherwise some women empowerment fighter would call me a ‘male chauvinist’ (see how scared we feel). In short as there is a say “ghar pe maa behen nai hai kya”, just want to convey that even you have brothers and father at home. Generalize the men and they are included in it. Think before raising any finger on men as not all men are “Rapist” or “Molester”
